Compare your room with published simulator requirements

Screen your measurements against published monitor distances—then see exactly what cannot be decided from a specification sheet.

Dimensions do not guarantee clearance. This is a research tool, not a professional installation assessment. It does not validate your actual swing, mat height, net/screen design, ricochet containment, projector, or electrical/mounting safety.

Measure your room

Use clear internal dimensions. Feet and tenths of a foot; 6 in = 0.5 ft.

At the hitting/swing area, not the room's highest point.
Wall behind intended stance to wall behind screen.
Used only to trigger caution — not to invent reach or swing dimensions.

No height-only “safe ceiling” formula is used: arm length, posture, club, mat, swing plane and personal movement vary.

Overall room safety: unverified

What fits on paper

Test your swing safely — before buying

  1. Clear the entire area. Remove people, pets, lights, fans, shelves and fragile objects from the full backswing and follow-through volume. Inspect the actual ceiling height including the mat.
  2. Start without a ball and without power. Stand at the intended tee, use the longest club you plan to use, and make slow, deliberate movements through the complete backswing and follow-through. Do not accelerate if you feel hesitation.
  3. Check every boundary. Verify side walls, ceiling, rear wall, doorways, enclosure poles, projector and anyone observing. Repeat for every golfer and both handedness positions, if relevant. If any motion is cramped or uncertain, stop: this space is not validated.
  4. Plan the containment, not just the ball flight. Follow the monitor, net, screen and enclosure manuals. Leave their stated wall/screen gaps. Use screens sized for lofted and mishit balls and padding where the manufacturer specifies.
  5. Verify the equipment and installation. Confirm the specific launch monitor’s placement, mat height, calibration, projector throw, safe mount, wiring and illumination with current manufacturer documentation. No practice swings make an incompatible enclosure or unsafe projector installation acceptable.
